Owen Baker will be "sorely missed" after recalling the left-back from his loan spell.

Baker made 20 appearances in the first half of the season, scoring two goals, his first Wales call-up.

However, his good form, coupled with Liverpool (England) losing Scotland captain Andy Robertson and substitute Kostas Tsimikas to injury, led to the Premier League leaders cutting short the loan period.

"Owen was outstanding on and off the field," a statement from Dundee read.

"We would like to thank him for everything he has done and wish him all the best for the future. Owen will always be welcome in Dundee.

Robertson is unlikely to return in January, as had been hoped, as he is in the national team

His rehabilitation process was prolonged after dislocating his shoulder in a loss to Spain in October.
