According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with the
Napoli, capital of Campania region of Italy
Negotiations to bring in Nigerian striker Victor Osmeon. Meanwhile, Napoli are hoping to sign Chelsea striker Romelu
Lukaku (name)
As a substitute.
After a day of treatment and solo training, Osmeen joined his teammates for a run and interval session yesterday morning but missed the friendly against Valdinon in the afternoon. His left ankle injury recurs from time to time and that is why he missed Nigeria's two World Cup qualifiers. To avoid re-injury, Osmeen has adopted a cautious recovery strategy.
Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli continue to negotiate the transfer of Osmeen as both sides try to close the gap. Napoli are demanding a €130 million release fee, but Paris are unwilling to pay the full amount. Although Napoli are willing to listen to lower offers, they will not release him easily if the price is well below par. The deal is expected to exceed €100 million.
Napoli plan to use most of their transfer funds to bring in Romelu Lukaku. The club's sporting director Mana and Paris Saint-Germain's sporting director Campos have been in contact and communicated with Osmeen's agent Roberto Lunda. Paris Saint-Germain tried to bring in Osmeen for €150 million last year but were rejected by Napoli.
Campos wanted to make room for the Osmeen by selling Mouani and offered a skill-swap that included Spanish midfielder Soler and French right winger Moukil, but Napoli preferred South Korean front man Lee Gang-in and Uruguayan midfielder Ugarte. Having failed to reach an agreement, the two sides may consider a cash deal.
Lukaku is currently on vacation and Napoli will accelerate the introduction of Lukaku if Osmeen leaves. Napoli have reached a preliminary agreement with Chelsea for a transfer fee of €25m plus bonuses, although Lukaku has a €44m release clause in his contract.
Both of these potential deals will have a major impact on both clubs and fans will be keeping a close eye on the transfer developments for both Osmeen and Lukaku.
