8 kilograms, train three times a day and follow a strict diet. On Wednesday, Dortmund kicked off their preparations for the new season, and Güller appeared at the training base with a new look for a turning point in his career.

Last season, Guler's limited playing time prompted his determination to prove himself to new head coach Shaheen. Guler, who once weighed 110 kilograms, has been working hard to lose weight and be in better physical shape for the new season.

Güller decided to make the change right before last season's Champions League final, planning with his agency and developing a comprehensive weight loss program with his personal chef, Rainer Schroer. Schroll, along with assistant Florian Tietz and personal trainer Jana Kiser, devised a four-week, high-intensity training regimen, with three sessions per day: one and a half hours in the morning and one in the afternoon, and an additional 45 minutes in the evening. At the same time, Güller followed a gluten-free, high-fiber diet and consumed plenty of fish, with remarkable results.

At the end of the season, sporting director Kohl and new boss Ricken made it clear that weight control was vital to Güller's future at Dortmund, motivating him to double his efforts. With Shaheen taking over the team, the competition in the back line has resumed, with new signing Anton set to join after the Europa League, providing Guler with a valuable opportunity.
