According to transfer expert Di Marzio, Inter Milan and
Juve
Tuscany vs Genoa striker Icelandic player
Gudmundsson (name)
have expressed a keen interest and are looking to bring in the versatile striker on a rent-and-buy basis. Gudmundsson had an excellent season last season, scoring 16 goals and contributing 5 assists in 37 appearances, and is capable of playing in a variety of positions on the wing and in the middle of the park.
Despite Gudmundsson's current sexual harassment allegations, in order to minimize the risk, both Juventus and Inter Milan are looking to loan the player for a higher fee with a buyout clause in the loan agreement. Di Marzio revealed that both clubs are prepared to offer a €10 million loan fee with a €15 million buyout clause. This approach is similar to the strategy AC Milan adopted when they signed Tonali in 2020.
It is unclear whether Genoa would be willing to let Gudmundsson go in this way. However, if Genoa agrees to this option, the deal would set the stage for the
national rice
and Juve offer a low-risk, high-reward opportunity to evaluate Gudmundsson's performance in Serie A.
