Participation in gambling

was penalized. He placed a total of 867 bets on soccer matches during this period.

An independent regulatory committee investigated his conduct and ultimately decided to impose a three-month ban on James Pullen from all soccer and football-related activities during that period. In addition, he will be suspended until the end of the 2025/26 season and fined £750.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that James Pullen had never bet on Ipswich to lose in any of the 126 bets placed about his own club. Despite this, his betting was still in breach of FA rules.

James Pullen invested a total of £1,400.79 during the betting period and gained £792.67 in return, making a total loss of £608.12. Due to the seriousness of the gambling behavior, Ipswich FC suspended him immediately after he received the charges.

The FA expressed serious concern about the incident and emphasized that any act involving gambling on football would be severely punished in order to maintain the fairness and integrity of the sport. Fans and club members alike regretted the incident and hoped that similar incidents would not recur.
