It remains to be seen when the players participating in the international tournament will meet up with the team in the United States.
The likes of Thomas Partey, Martin Ödgöl and Ben White have now returned to the training ground and manager Mikel Arteta is leading them through a fitness recovery session. Photographers have captured some of the highlights of Arsenal's pre-season preparations.
Ben White has publicly expressed his unwillingness to be called up by England after clashing with Southgate's assistant Steve Holland due to his failure to make England's Euro squad. However, judging by his performance on the training ground, Ben White is in renewed spirits. In one photo, he is seen with his arms raised in the air, seemingly celebrating something, or just posing for a close-up for the camera.
Thomas Partey could leave Arsenal this summer with just one year left on his contract with the team. Nonetheless, he looked very happy in training and seemed to be making it clear to people that leaving is a distant thing. In one photo, Arteta and Thomas hooked up, both of them smiling and looking very happy.
Arsenal fans are eagerly awaiting the return from injury of Urien Timber, the £34million defender who made just two appearances last season due to injury. He has now made a full recovery and has appeared in several training shots, one of which shows him battling for the ball with Fabio Vieira.
A number of youth team players are also training with the first team, with many hoping to travel with the squad to the United States. Nwaneri and Charlie Patino, who is returning from a loan spell at Swansea, have both taken part in the fitness sessions. In addition, Skelly and Aiden Haven are also trying to impress.
