A project plan for the 2030 World Cup bid needs to be submitted to FIFA by July 31 and a shortlist of stadiums to host the World Cup needs to be established. These stadiums will be visited by FIFA before a final decision is made.

The Spanish government's original plan to use 13 stadiums to host the 2030 World Cup has been abandoned. The stadiums in Vigo and Valencia could not be guaranteed to meet the requirements for hosting the World Cup and therefore will not be involved in hosting. In the end, Spain will use 11 stadiums spread across nine cities to host the 2030 World Cup alongside Morocco and Portugal.

Here is the list of candidate stadiums in Spain:

Madrid, capital of Spain

: Bernabeu Stadium, Metropolitan Stadium

Barcelona

: New Camp Nou Stadium, Olympic Stadium, Monticle

Bilbao (city in Spain)

: St. Mames Stadium

San Sebastian (city in Brazil)

: Anoeta Stadium

La Coruña or A Coruña (city in Galicia, Spain)

: Riazor Stadium

Zaragoza, Spain

: Reda Stadium, Rome

Sevilla, Spain

: Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium

Malaga city in Iranian East Azerbaijan

: La Rosaleda Stadium

Canary Island

: Stade Gran Canaria

The Bernabeu Stadium will host the final of the 2030 World Cup. Five stadiums, including the Bernabeu, Metropolitano and San Mames, do not need to be refurbished or remodeled to host the World Cup straight away, while the new Camp Nou stadium is under construction.

Spain must submit its bid documents to FIFA by July 31, with alternative stadiums indicated in the documents. These stadiums will be inspected and approved by FIFA.

FIFA has high requirements for stadiums and cities to host the World Cup, and these strict requirements have resulted in some stadiums being unable to bid for the World Cup.
