Turning their sights to strengthening their midfield and backline. Paris Saint-Germain's 23-year-old Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte has been identified as Manchester United's number one target, according to British media outlet iNews.

Paris Saint-Germain are in the process of raising funds to bring in Napoli center forward Viktor Osmeen, which is expected to cost over £80 million. In order to raise this money, Paris are interested in selling several players, including Simons, Ugarte, Lee Gang-in and Mouani, all of whom have attracted the attention of many European clubs, including Premier League sides.

Reports suggest that Manchester United have made a bid for Ugarte, but it is well below Paris' asking price. Paris will only accept offers over £50 million, which is the same price the club paid when they brought Ugarte from Sporting Portugal last year. In addition, Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Ugarte.

Meanwhile, United's reinforcement targets also include Bayern Munich's Dutch center back Matthijs de Ligt. United believe that £35m will be enough to sign de Ligt, but Bayern want a transfer fee closer to £45m. Both sides are confident that a deal will be struck.

In order to raise the funds to bring in Ugarte and Driehlt, United need to get money by selling players. Greenwood has moved to Marseille and the club are looking to sell Casemiro, but only clubs on the Saudi side have shown interest so far. McTominay could also leave the club this summer, but initial offers for the player have been rejected by United. Wambisaka is also another player who could be sold.
