"Juan Cabal is officially a Juventus signing until June 30, 2029"! The 23-year-old Colombian defender joins Juventus from Verona for a transfer fee of €11 million, payable over three financial years, with an additional €1.8 million in ancillary fees. In addition, a variable bonus of up to €2 million is included, depending on the achievement of competitive objectives."
Born in Cali, Colombia's third most populous city, Cabal played 50 games for one of Colombia's biggest teams, Atletico Nacional, before leaving his home country for the first time in Italy in the summer of 2022. During his two years with Verona, Cabal has gotten a taste of Italian soccer in Serie A: last season, he made 22 appearances (17 of them as a starter) and contributed to his team's victories. In the second half of the Serie A season, he made 17 appearances in 18 matches, his performances were evident and he continues to grow.
Media reports suggest that Inter were previously close to signing Kabal, but were ultimately successfully cut off by Juventus.
Cabal is 23 years old and plays as a left back. He played 22 games for Verona last season, becoming a mainstay of the team in the second half of the season, and is currently valued at €3.5 million on the German transfer market (DFB). Now he is ready to take an important step in his career.
Juventus have warmly welcomed Kabal to the team and hope that he will be able to make an even greater contribution to the team in the new season.
