, with both sides signing until 2028. As previously reported, Dortmund activated Girassi's 17.5 million euro release clause early on, but the player ran into some problems during his medical. Now that the medical has finally been completed, the transfer has been officially announced.
Girassi, 28, is a Guinean striker, right-footed, who is currently valued at €40 million in the German transfer market. Last season, Girassi made 30 appearances for Stuttgart in all competitions, scoring 30 goals and contributing three assists. Among them, he scored 28 goals in 28 appearances in the Bundesliga, eventually winning the Bundesliga Silver Boot.
Dortmund has high hopes for the introduction of Girassi, hoping that he can bring more firepower to support the team's offensive end in the new season. The addition of Girassi will undoubtedly boost Dortmund's frontcourt strength and add new fuel to the team's title bid.
