It was officially announced that 41 year old Spanish veteran goalkeeper Pepe Reina has joined the team, signing until June 2025 for both sides. Reina is an experienced goalkeeper who has held the goals of Barcelona, Yellow Submarine, Liverpool, Napoli, Bayern, Milan, Villa and Lazio in his career."
Reina has been named the Premier League Goalkeeper of the Season three times in his career and has played 35 games for the Spanish national team, with whom he won the 2010 World Cup as well as Euro 2008 and 2012. Reina, 41, was released from his contract with Villarreal this summer, having started his career at Barcelona and then played for a number of big clubs, including Liverpool, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Aston Villa.
Since officially joining the Barcelona first team in 2000, Reina is about to embark on the 24th season of his career. For Como, the addition of Reina will undoubtedly add valuable experience and strength to the team, helping them gain a foothold in Serie A.
