In his report, Moretto mentioned that "Napoli are very interested in Brighton's Scottish midfielder Gilmour, and they are looking to bring in the young and talented player to strengthen the team's midfield."
Despite Napoli's growing interest in Gilmour, Brighton are resolute. They have a clear understanding of Gilmour's importance and therefore would not consider selling him at this stage. Furthermore, Gilmour's contract with Brighton runs until 2026, meaning Brighton have more say and initiative in negotiations.
