An investigation was launched into possible breaches of regulations. During Spain's Euro win celebrations, Rodri held a microphone and sang: "Gibraltar is Spain ~ Gibraltar is Spain ......", a gesture that has caused the Gibraltar Football Association to be strongly dissatisfied with, and they have filed a complaint with UEFA. In an official statement, the Gibraltar Football Association said: "We have noted the highly provocative and insulting behavior of the Spanish men's national team at the celebrations for winning Euro 2024. The UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will be responsible for assessing possible breaches of UEFA disciplinary regulations by Mr. Rodri and Mr. Morata. This is an act that took place during the public presentation of the UEFA Euro 2024 trophy on July 15, 2024 in Madrid.
