In an interview within the Chelsea team, young player Colville expressed his full expectations and positive attitude towards the new season. He first affirmed the effect of the team's recent training and highly praised the dedication and guidance of the new coach.
"It's been almost two weeks since I've been here [for training] and this is exactly the kind of coach we need," said Colwell, "He's been very hands-on and it's very reassuring to know exactly how I'm supposed to play under his guidance." He further said that the coach is not only technically sound, but also very communicative with his players, always giving timely and helpful feedback. "So far, everything has been great. I am confident that we will perform even better under his leadership."
Looking back on last season, Colville believes it was a breakthrough season for Chelsea and that he learned a lot from it. "We achieved a lot last year and those experiences were invaluable to me. I hope that in the new season we can continue that momentum of progress and keep breaking through."
Colwell appeared confident when talking about his goals and aspirations for the new season. "As a team, our goal is to take it to the next level from last year," he said firmly, "We need to build stronger team confidence and strive for more victories in our matches. I believe that if we stick together and work hard, we will be able to achieve this goal."
Additionally, Colville mentioned the upcoming pre-season tour of the United States. "This will be my third preseason trip to the U.S., and the first two were great experiences," he exclaimed, "I'm looking forward to seeing the Chelsea fans there again, whose enthusiasm and support have always been a driving force for us. I hope we can bring them a great game and let them feel our hard work and progress."
