In an interview with Sky Sport Italia, Inter's CEO Marotta discussed in detail a number of important topics for the team, including Lautaro's contract extension, Gudmundsson's transfer rumors, and the impact of Conte's Serie A return.

As for Lautaro's contract renewal, Marotta gave a clear answer: "Lautaro's contract renewal has been successfully completed, and we have already received the contract document signed by him. However, we plan to make an official announcement when he returns from his vacation. We are pleased to have been able to keep last season's starting lineup almost intact and further strengthen the team by bringing in strong players such as Taremi, Zielinski and Josep Martinez. Led by a great coach, together with a high level management and technical team and the support of our great fan base, we are confident for the new season."

Speaking about Gudmundsson's transfer rumors, Marotta's attitude was a bit more aloof: "As of now, Gudmundsson is not a target of our consideration. We already have a number of quality players with impressive stats in our attacking line. It's not that I'm not interested in Gudmundsson, but based on the team's current configuration and tactical needs, he's not a good fit for us."

Finally, Marotta also talked about the news of Conte's return to Serie A to coach Napoli: "For the Italian league, it's a great thing to have more good coaches like Conte. Conte is known for his excellent coaching ability, and I believe he will put all his talent and energy into Napoli, a team full of potential. With Conte on board, Napoli will undoubtedly become one of the strong contenders for the Serie A title this season."
