Hummels' contract with Borussia Dortmund has expired and is now a free agent. Skilla noted that Bologna are interested in signing Hummels on a free this summer and have prepared a contract for him until 2025 with an annual salary of €2 million plus €1 million in bonuses.
Last season, Hummels, 35, appeared in 40 games for Dortmund, scoring four goals and dishing out one assist, totaling 2,932 minutes of playing time. He was particularly impressive in the Champions League, helping his team reach the final.
