In a recent interview with the media, he talked about his feelings about returning to Leipzig and his experience on loan to Real Sociedad last season. He said that although last season's loan was not successful, he is looking forward to putting in good performances for Leipzig in the new season.
Andre Silva was loaned out to La Liga side Real Sociedad last season, appearing in 26 games and scoring four goals. However, the loan experience did not live up to his expectations. Silva confessed, "Joining Real Sociedad on loan last season wasn't the right choice, but it happened. Soccer is like life, we learn from experience."
Speaking about his performance at Leipzig, Silva said, "In my first two seasons at Leipzig, I scored 26 goals and assisted 17 times. The season before I joined Leipzig, I scored 29 goals and assisted 10 times at Frankfurt." These figures prove his strength and value in the Bundesliga.
Silva is looking forward to the new season, saying, "I'm excited to be back at Leipzig and I'm looking forward to playing in the Champions League with the team this season. I feel energized and I know that when you have that kind of mental state, the goals will come." He hopes to work hard to get better results for the team in all competitions.
