A comprehensive agreement has been reached on the transfer of a fee of approximately €80 million.
Previously, the media reported that Paris Saint-Germain have been looking to sign Joao Neves this summer and have been engaged in ongoing negotiations to do so. Joao Neves, who plays as a defensive midfielder, appeared in 55 games for Benfica last season, contributing three goals and two assists, and is currently valued at €55 million in the German transfer market.
The deal was struck to bring more depth and youthful energy to Paris Saint-Germain's midfield. The signing of Joao Neves also marks an important step in building the core of Paris' future squad.
