Indonesia

Media outlets have recently posted articles calling on Indonesia national team boss Shin Tae-Yong to call up the 19-year-old naturalized striker for the World Qualifier in September

Jens Lavin

.. Jens Lavin, who currently plays for the Dordrecht U19 team in the Netherlands, is 1.89 meters tall and acquired Indonesian citizenship last month and is currently competing in the Southeast Asian U19 Championships with the Indonesian U19 team.

In the group stage of the Southeast Asia U19 Championship, Jens Lavin performed very well. He scored 1 goal against Philippines U19s in the first match of the group stage, and in the third match against Timor-Leste U19s, he contributed 2 shots, 3 passes, and 5 goals, showing his strong offensive ability.

The Indonesian media believes that Jens Raven's big break with the U19 team proves that he is capable of playing for the national team. Therefore, it was a wise decision by Shin Tae-Yong to bring him into the Indonesian national team. The young winger can be tried out in the 18-team matches against Saudi Arabia and Australia in September to add more attacking options and dynamism to the team.
