Procedure. The conduct of the two players during the public display of the UEFA EURO 2024 trophy in Madrid on July 15, 2024, violated several UEFA regulations.
The charges against Rodri and Morata under Article 55 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations include: general principles of the Code of Conduct, DR Article 11(1); violation of basic rules of good conduct, DR Article 11(2)(b); using a sporting event for performances of an unsportsmanlike nature, DR Article 11(2)(c); bringing the sport of soccer, and UEFA in particular, into disrepute, DR Article 11(2) (d).
UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee will decide on the case in due course. As previously revealed by Marca, Rodri and Morata could face a two-match suspension.
