Maresca, capital of Slovakia
In the pre-game conference for the warm-up match, the first public response to the recent highly publicized
Enzo
Events.
Maresca got right to the point: "The player made a statement and apologized, the club made a statement. There is nothing to add. The situation is clear."
On Enzo's return, Maresca showed full confidence, "I don't think so (that he'll have difficulties coming back). At the end of the day, they're all human beings and I don't think there's any malice in any of them. I don't think we'll have any problems when Enzo comes back. All of them are not bad people. I've talked to Enzo, the player has issued an apology, (when will he return?). I think it's the 29th."
Maresca's comments are clearly an injection of confidence into the team, emphasizing that the Enzo incident has been handled properly and that there will be no conflict between the players as a result. Chelsea fans can expect Enzo to continue to contribute to the team upon his return on the 29th.
