Manchester United have made poor progress in their negotiations to bring in Derek Derekett this summer, according to the BBC. Although United have spent almost £90million on signing Jolo and Zylkiser, the club are still struggling to bring in new center-backs and right-backs after raising £31.6million through the sales of Greenwood, Kambwala and van der Beck.

Negotiations on Drieght also failed to make positive progress.
As well as a center back, United are also looking to sign a right back. Bayern's Mazlavi is one of their targets, but it could depend on whether Wan Bissaka, who is entering the final year of his contract, stays in the team.
Manchester United's reinforcement program has been thwarted and the team needs to adjust its strategy in a short period of time. It is expected that new recruits Jolo and Zirkerze will accompany United to preseason matches in the United States, including July 27 against Arsenal and Aug. 3 against Liverpool.
