In a recent interview with The Mirror, Liverpool's young star Alexander-Arnold expressed his high regard for soccer superstar Lionel Messi and shared his thoughts on the best player he has ever worked with.
Arnold did not mince words in praising Messi as "the best player in the history of soccer", and he believes that Messi's performance in the game is unparalleled. "For me, Messi is the best player," said Arnold, "the best player I've ever met and the greatest player in the history of soccer. I can't imagine anyone better than him, no one is better than him." Arnold also described the unique feeling of playing against Messi: "You're always on high alert when he's near the ball, and I think very few players are able to pass that feeling on to other players."
Arnold further emphasized Messi's versatility and excellence on the soccer field. "He can pretty much do what he wants to do on the soccer field," Arnold said, "so in a lot of aspects of the game, he's probably at his best at any given moment. That's why I think he's the best."
When asked about the best player he has worked with, Arnold had no hesitation in choosing Salah. He praised Salah for his consistent and outstanding performances since joining Liverpool and highlighted Salah's hard work, dedication and persistence. "He's been consistent from when he first joined the team to now," Arnold said, "and he's never let up. I think everything he's done and achieved is amazing and it's a testament to his hard work and dedication to the game."
Arnold also revealed Salah's hard work in training and constant pursuit of records. "I see his obsession every day," Arnold said, "He pushes himself day in and day out to keep improving and trying to break every record. That's why I think he's the best player I've ever worked with."
