According to the latest news of the "World Sports Daily", the English Premier League team Aston Villa in the summer transfer market attraction plan suffered a setback, they have confirmed that they will not chase Barcelona's Rafinha and Atletico Madrid's Felix, the reason is that the transfer fee of these two players are far beyond the Villa's financial budget.

Reports suggest that Barcelona's asking price for Rafinha is around €70 million, which includes the base transfer fee and a possible flotation clause. Although Villa have recently secured €60 million from the sale of Moussa Diaby, they still consider this price to be too high and are unwilling to invest such a large sum in Rafinha. Barcelona, on the other hand, are in dire need of raising funds by selling players to support their subsequent reinforcement program.

On the other hand, Felix's transfer situation is quite complicated. The Portuguese striker had previously expressed his desire to join Barcelona, but it seems to be fading as time goes by. Currently, Felix is enjoying his vacation and is scheduled to return to Atletico on July 27th. If he fails to reach an agreement with another club before then, he will have to return to play under Simeone. Atletico are also bidding between €60 and €70 million for Felix and are considering a 50% ownership deal to facilitate the transfer, but this doesn't seem to have attracted much interest from potential buyers, including Benfica.

For Villa, despite their intention to strengthen their squad, they had to remain rational in the face of such a high transfer fee. They realized that using all the money from the sale of Diaby to bring in Felix would not be in the club's long-term interests and decided to abandon the plan.
