According to the Mirror, due to a shortage of manpower at left-back, the

Manchester United Football Club

Plans to sign another left-back this summer. Targets include former Chelsea defender

Marcos Alonso

David

Hantsø (city in Buskerud, Norway)

and Crystal Palace's Mitchell.

Manchester United are currently facing a shortage of left backs. Malacia last played for United 14 months ago, and since then he has undergone two knee surgeries and his return to action is unlikely. Luke Shaw will also be taking a longer break after reaching the Europa League final with his team, meaning United will be without a regular left-back for the duration of the US tour. In addition, Dalot, who could have played in this role, is also still on vacation.

With that in mind, Manchester United are ready to sign another left-back, with targets including the following three players:

David Hantzko (Feyenoord)

: The transfer fee is expected to be expensive, but Hanczko has been excellent at Feyenoord and his arrival will provide United with strong defensive support.

Marcos Alonso (former Barcelona player)

: Marcos Alonso has left Barcelona on a free, with Manchester United not having to pay a transfer fee to sign him. The former Chelsea defender has a lot of experience and can fill the left-back void immediately.

Mitchell (Crystal Palace)

: Mitchell has just one year left on his contract with Crystal Palace and a transfer fee below his market value is expected. The addition of Mitchell would provide United with more options and depth.
