Earlier media reports claimed that Atletico Madrid have finalized the transfer of Dovbik and will sign the Ukrainian winger for a transfer fee of €37 million. However, Longari pointed out that Atletico Madrid has not yet reached a final agreement with Girona, and the two sides are still in disagreement over the transfer fee. Girona are insisting on a fee of €40 million, while Atletico are hoping to reduce it.
Last season, Dovbik played 41 games for Girona, scoring 25 goals and delivering 10 assists. Dovbik himself hopes to move to Atletico Madrid to seek a higher level of competitive platform.
