Ali Jassim
. This signing injects new energy and potential into Como and is highly regarded by fans and media alike.
On Wednesday, Como FC made an announcement stating, "Como FC is pleased to announce the signing of one of Asia's best talents, Ali Jassim from Ekachaba. The player completed his medical today in Paris - where he is competing in the Olympics - and signed a three-year contract with Como."
Jassim is the most highly touted rising star in Iraqi football, having made his debut in the Iraqi league at the age of 14. So far, Jassim has made 13 appearances for the Iraqi national team and scored 2 goals. Currently, Jassim is participating in the Paris Olympics with the Iraqi National Olympics and scored the winning goal to help Iraq beat Ukraine 2-1 in the first group stage.
Como boss Cesc Fabregas said, "We believe that Jassim is a good player who has the potential to grow quickly with us at Como. He has already performed well for the national team and in the AFC Champions League, and we hope he will have a positive impact in Serie A as soon as possible next season as well."
