of reinforcements, skipper Tenhave could be at risk of being short-handed at the position in the new season.

Manchester United flew to Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon local time to kick off the pre-season tour of the United States. At the moment, Wan-Bissaka is the only senior wing-back available in the squad, but he could be sold this summer. Malacia has not played for United in 14 months due to a serious knee injury and will take some time to return.

Left-back Luke Shaw and right-back Dalot are absent with England and Portugal respectively for Euro 2024. Ten Hahn has included young wing-backs Harry Armas and Sam Murray in the touring squad as replacements.

Wan-Bissaka has just the final 12 months left on his contract at Old Trafford and is attracting interest from Premier League clubs including West Ham United as well as Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in Turkey. If he does not renew his contract, he could be sold in this summer window.

Bayern defender Mazrahi is being tipped as a potential option for United's right-back reinforcements if Wan Bissaka leaves. United are also exploring the possibility of bringing in another left-back, with both permanent transfers and loans under consideration.

United have been linked with Feyenoord's Slovakian international David Hanko, who can play as a left center back and left back. Also a target for United is Crystal Palace's Mitchell, who has one year left on his contract at Crystal Palace.

Luke Shaw, 29, has averaged fewer than 18 Premier League starts per season at United over the past decade, and last season he has been plagued by injuries, making just 15 appearances in total. Sir Ratcliffe had previously made a half-hearted plea for Luke Shaw not to suffer another hamstring injury while representing England at the Euros.

It is unclear when Luke Shaw and Dalot will be able to join the squad for pre-season training, with the pair entitled to at least three weeks' rest after finishing international duty. Others absent from United's U.S. tour are Lisandro Martinez and Gancho, who won the Copa America with Argentina this summer, captain Bruno Fernandez, Kirby Menu, Pellistri, goalkeeper Bahindele, and new signing Zylkiser.
