Thinking about getting back in.
England
Team.
In March, Ben White shockingly told England boss Gareth Southgate not to call himself up for the squad. Southgate said at the time that he would consider calling up Ben White again if he changed his mind, but White did not change his decision. The decision stemmed from a row with assistant coach Holland during the 2022 World Cup and he left the England training camp to return to England while the tournament was underway.
Despite being one of the most consistent and versatile defenders in the Premier League, Ben White has not been selected for the England squad since that incident.
Ben White has reconsidered a return to the England squad following Southgate's decision to resign after Euro 2024 as a result. Although White admits he doesn't even watch soccer in his free time, he is still open to returning to the England squad. The news is exciting for England regardless of who replaces Southgate next.
Ben White is 26 years old and has played four international matches for England. He last played for England in a March 2022 friendly against Côte d'Ivoire.
