According to Daily Sports, Riyadh Victory is not going to let the Spanish center back go for free
La Porte (French town)
.. If Real Madrid want to acquire the player, they will need to pay a transfer fee of €35 million.
After missing out on Jolo and the departure of Nacho, Real Madrid are desperate to find a center back in the summer transfer market. Spanish international Laporte has become the main target of the Whites. The player himself is very happy to join Real Madrid and is willing to accept a pay cut to facilitate the transfer.
Last year, Laporte signed a three-year deal with Riyadh Victory for an annual salary of €24 million after taxes. In order to sign Laporte, Riyadh spent 27 million euros to bring in the center back from Manchester City. Therefore, Riyadh won't let him go easily, especially if the player performs well and is valuable to the team.
Daily Sport states that with reference to Real Madrid's €35 million offer for Jolo, if the Whites want to sign Laporte, they should offer the same to Riyadh Victory. Despite Real Madrid's desire to bring in Laporte at a lower price, Riyadh Victory's attitude suggests that they want to get a reasonable financial return from the deal.
