AC Milan will face Fiorentina away in the 19th round of Serie A on December 30th. Milan striker Kalinic has been questioned by Italian media Corriere della Sera for his recent poor form.
Milan signed Kalinic from Fiorentina this summer in the form of a rent-and-buy deal for €5 million, with a €20 million mandatory buyout clause in the contract.
Kalinic has previously excelled at Fiorentina, playing against strong sides such as Inter Milan and Juventus. The striker played 41 games for the Zilpia last season, making 34 starts and contributing 20 goals and four assists.
Kalinic has not been in the best of form since his move to Milan and has been criticized by some media and fans. So far this season, he has played 20 games for the Red and Blacks, starting 16 of them and contributing 4 goals and 2 assists.
Kalinic made his debut in the Milan derby in midweek, but he was replaced by Cutrone after suffering an ankle injury in the second half. The Corriere della Sera questioned Kalinic, stating, "Where has the striker gone who conquered Fiorentina and Italy in the past?"
