Being recommended to Serie A teams

Genoa

.. Genoa have been looking for a new goalkeeper in recent weeks after Josep Martinez, Genoa's starting goalkeeper last season, moved to join Inter Milan this summer. Previously Genoa were interested in signing Kotarski, but Greek side Thessaloniki refused to let the goalkeeper go.

Sky Sport Italia have revealed that De Gea was recommended to Genoa by an intermediary on Thursday, an option that is very attractive to the Genoa bosses. De Gea, 33, played for Manchester United for 12 years but has yet to find a new club after his contract with United expired last summer.

As De Gea has not played an official match for over a year, Genoa need to assess his current form. However, De Gea's experience and ability is undoubtedly what Genoa needs, as he has demonstrated excellent goal-line skills and saving ability many times in his career.

If Genoa finally decides to sign De Gea, it will be a great boost for the team's goalkeeper position. Fans are also looking forward to seeing De Gea back in action and hope that he can continue to show his prowess in Serie A.
