Signs long-term contract. Romano revealed that "Gaëla Doué has signed a long-term contract with Strasbourg for a fixed transfer fee of €6 million and a variable part of €2 million."
It was previously rumored that Chelsea could sign Doué and send him out on loan to Strasbourg, but Romano made it clear that Chelsea never had any such intentions. Doué will join Strasbourg straight away, with an official announcement coming soon.
Gaela Doué, 21, who plays primarily as a right-back, comes from the Rennes youth academy and has made 35 appearances for the Rennes first team so far. He is the biological brother of 19-year-old Doué, a transfer target of Bayern and Paris.
