According to Hoopswire personality Sam Amico, a participant in the NBA Summer League

Los Angeles Lakers

Players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the team's atmosphere in interviews, particularly with the

-James' special treatment was questioned.

The anonymous player said, "You can sense that there's not a lot of unity amongst our group because Brownie is the lead and the others think it's wrong and he doesn't deserve that spot."

He continued, "I mean, it's very annoying that he's treated like a special person, not like all of us. Because we don't feel any chemistry in this group of players. I was very frustrated because they wanted Brownie to show what he could do and shine, so I was never put in the best position to even be put in some games or game plans."

The player also mentioned, "If you talk to any of the players on the California Classic or Summer League roster, most of them will tell you the same thing. The tension is palpable and we're almost all thinking about getting out of here after Summer League and focusing on the next step in our careers."

In six games in this year's Summer League, Bronny James played 25.2 minutes per game, contributing seven points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, one steal, and 0.8 caps, while shooting 32.7 percent from the field and just 13 percent from three.

This situation obviously sparked resentment from other players on the team who felt that Brownie's special treatment was affecting the team's chemistry and overall performance. With summer league over, these players are eager to move on to the next step in their careers and leave this stressful environment behind.

This internal conflict could have some impact on Brownie's future with the Lakers, and also reflects the team's need for more balance and fair treatment in dealing with the development of young players.
