In Group A, the Colombian women's soccer team and the New Zealand women's soccer team played a fierce match. In the end, the Colombian women's soccer team defeated the New Zealand women's soccer team with a score of 2-0, thanks to the goals scored by Restre and Lacey Santos.

In the 27th minute of the match, the Colombian women's soccer team broke the deadlock when Restre received a pass from a teammate just outside the penalty area and fired a long-distance shot directly into the goal, opening the first record for the Colombian women's soccer team. In the 72nd minute of the second half, the Colombian women's soccer team once again extended their lead when Lacey Santos took a one-touch shot at the goalkeeper during a quick counterattack and calmly put the ball into the net.

The New Zealand women's soccer team tried hard to fight back in the game, but could never find a chance to break through the goal. In the end, the Colombian women's soccer team defeated the New Zealand women's soccer team by a score of 2-0, and won their second victory in the group stage.
