Chelsea's newest defender, Adarabioyo, was recently interviewed by SoccerLondon.com and gave an outlook on the upcoming season and his role in the team. In the interview, he highlighted his adaptation to manager Maresca's tactical system and shared his journey to joining Chelsea.
Speaking about Maresca's tactical system, Adarabioyo said, "I think Maresca's tactics definitely suit my style. Every player here is extremely talented and we are all looking forward to playing in that style. From day one, he has been implementing his game philosophy and we are all embracing it and integrating it. This tactical system combines many styles of soccer and allows us to enjoy the game on the field. I believe that under Maresca's leadership, Chelsea will take on a whole new dimension. When asked if he knew Maresca before joining Chelsea, Adarabioyo confessed, "We had a very brief encounter before. When he joined Manchester City, I happened to be leaving that environment, so we had some contact and got to know each other. But what really made me decide to join Chelsea was the projects that are going on here and the amazing plans for the future. Chelsea's vision and plans are very exciting and exciting for me, so for me it was a decision that didn't require much hesitation.
