Arsenal have officially announced that the club has signed Italian international defender from Bologna

Karafiori (town in Vestfold, Norway)

.. The 22-year-old has signed a long-term contract with Arsenal and will wear the number 33 shirt.

According to a report by renowned journalist Di Marzio, Arsenal paid a transfer fee of €50 million for the move. Carafiore's former owners Basel will receive €23 million from it, while Basel will have to pay €9.2 million of it to Roma.

Carafiore comes from Roma's youth training and specializes in playing as a center back or left back. In the past season, he played 33 games for Bologna, contributing 2 goals and 5 assists. Originally, his contract with Bologna would last until 2027.

In this summer's UEFA Europa League, Carafiore helped Italy reach the round of 16 as the team's main defender. He is currently valued at €45 million in the German transfer market.

Arsenal fans are looking forward to this heavy signing, hoping that Calafiore's arrival will strengthen the team's defense and help Arsenal achieve better results in the new season.
