The Barcelona women's soccer team will travel independently to the United States for a preseason tour this summer, the team's third tour of the country, according to Mundo Deportivo. The team will play two friendlies in San Jose and Dallas on August 27 and 30, respectively.

The trip to the United States is expected to generate a net profit of around €1 million for Barcelona. This emphasizes the importance of women's soccer as the "only self-sufficient division" of FC Barcelona. This result is due to the continuous communication and negotiation between Barça's management and potential sponsors and promoters.

Harvey Puig, the Barça director in charge of women's soccer, is currently touring the United States with the men's team. As well as representing the club, he will be attending a number of important meetings regarding the future of women's soccer at Barça. It is expected that at the end of July and the beginning of August, some important agreements will begin to be negotiated and could be finalized when the players arrive in the United States at the end of August.

Barça's women's team first traveled to the U.S. in the summer of 2018, when the first co-ed tour in the club's history took place.The team traveled independently to the U.S. once again in August 2021, when they competed in the Women's International Champions Cup in Portland.
