At the time, only a handful of fans came to meet the plane, showing the local population's interest in the

and upcoming friendlies were lukewarm.
The Barcelona contingent arrived in Orlando at around 9:30pm on Sunday night and were greeted by only around 50 fans outside the airport and hotel. A total of 31 players are traveling with the team, 15 of whom are from the reserve team, and the most interesting one for the fans is undoubtedly the team's striker Lewandowski.
The club's top brass, including Laporta, also departed with the team, but sporting director Deco stayed in Barcelona to deal with transfers. Rafinha, Gündogan and Conde are expected to join the team in the United States at a later date.
However, the local community of Orlando appears to have a lukewarm interest in the upcoming match between Barcelona and Manchester City. Even a visit to the venue showed that the local residents were less interested in the friendly match. In contrast, Orlando is better known for its theme parks and tourist attractions than its sporting events.
Barcelona's trip to the United States was hoped to boost the club's international presence and interact with fans around the world. However, in the face of this lukewarm response, the club may need to do more to attract the interest of the local populace.
