In the second round of the Olympic men's soccer group stage on July 27th, the Dominican Republic and the strong Spanish Olympic team met each other. This game not only tests the skills and tactics of both players, but also a battle of will and fighting spirit.

At the beginning of the first half, the Spanish national Olympic team showed its superb skills and tacit cooperation. In the 15th minute, Dominican midfielder Bosl made a mistake in a pass, which was captured by Spanish striker Fermín, who quickly stole the ball and broke into the penalty area, and calmly pushed the ball into the goal for the Spanish team to open the first record, 1-0. This goal instantly ignited the morale of the Spanish team, and they continued to launch an onslaught on the goal of the Dominican team.

However, the Dominican National Olympics were not discouraged. In the 28th minute, they were awarded a valuable corner kick. De Oca jumped high above the Spanish defenders and hit a precise header into the corner of the goal to equalize the score at 1-1, a goal that boosted the morale of the Dominican team, who tried to take this opportunity to turn the situation around.

However, the good times didn't last long, as an unexpected incident occurred on the field near the end of the half. Spanish midfielder Ascona accidentally kicked Dominican defender Cubasi in the crotch during a scrum due to an additional action, and the referee, after checking the VAR, decisively showed a red card to send Ascona off. Spain had to play with ten men, which gave the Dominicans a great opportunity to counterattack.

In the second half, Spain's offense did not weaken despite their numerical disadvantage. In the 55th minute, Baena took a powerful shot from outside the penalty area and the ball was refracted into the corner of the goal, giving Spain the lead again, 2-1. This goal undoubtedly brought great pressure on the Dominican team.

Spain then continued to strengthen the attack, in the 70th minute, Gutiérrez in a counterattack, using individual ability to break into the penalty area, calmly shot to score, to extend the score to 3-1. At this point, the Dominican team has been unable to come back to the sky, although they tried their best, but the strength of the gap makes it difficult for them to return to the inferiority of the situation.

Finally, with the referee's whistle, the match ended. The Spanish National Olympics beat the Dominican National Olympics 3-1 and got out of the group early.
