The USL announced on Tuesday (23) that International Miami stars Mace and Suarez will not miss the USL Stars game earlier on Thursday (25) due to injury. Both stars were injured earlier in the U.S. Nations Cup, with Mays out indefinitely with an ankle ligament injury and Uruguayan striker Suarez reportedly avoiding the match with a 'knee complaint.
The American Pro Stars will play against the Mexican Premier League Stars. The US Pro Stars consist of 18 players. While Mays and Suarez are absent, Busquets and Zodi Eiba will be the other two stars who will be participating in the International Maiyami as scheduled. Other notable stars include French goalkeeper Loris, Italian midfielder Benedizzi, and Belgian striker Bindiki.
The US Pro Stars have played the Mexican Premier League Stars two of the last three years since the epidemic was suspended in 2020. Last year (2023), Premier League powerhouse Arsenal was invited to play in the exhibition match and ended up losing 0-5; in both 2021 and 2022, the US Pro Stars managed to beat the Mexican Premier League Stars.
