Newcastle officially announced on Saturday (20) that it will sign 19-year-old Serbian U17 midfielder Berwas to add to its stock of talent in defense, with plans for long-term development.
In the Austrian league, Berwas returned to Serbia, finalizing a deal with Newcastle during last month's Europa League. Berwas played 35 games for Serbia U17 and can play right center, center of defense and center of attack.
Newcastle's next acquisition target is reportedly Chelsea wing Madouki and have been in contact with Chelsea to assess the possibility of Madouki's transfer.
Early last year, Yann Haufen joined Madouki for a transfer fee of £29 million. By 2030, Chelsea is a fringe player. This summer, the team brought in many players and needed to sell players to ease the burden. Therefore, Newcastle is in a favorable position in this deal.
