Basically the Dutch lineup didn't change, mainly because the right winger position hasn't been stabilized for this European country and Bergwijn didn't have great results before. Dortmund winger Malen was sent for a try in this match. England have a formation with a variable formation that emphasizes more on the wings.Bellingham is starting to move away from the attacking midfield position and is placed closer to the left side, while Foden is closer to the right side, near Saka.It seems that the right side of the attack should be strengthened.
The game started off with both teams pressing each other, neither team wanted the other to go through the midfield, resulting in a denser midfield. As a result the game only lasted 5 minutes.Rice was forced off balance by Simons when he had the ball in his half, Simons took the ball and charged off as the drop was so sudden. Although the England defense was still in the net, no one could get forward to intercept it at once. As a result, Simins took a shot at full stretch from 22 yards and the ball broke through to the top left corner at high speed.
Simons is 179 and Rice is 188, it is reasonable to say that Rice can control and pass the ball easily when he has the ball, but Simons keeps dragging Rice's lower body because Simons is short and has a low center of gravity, making it difficult for him to pass the ball and end up making a mistake, Simins is indeed very smart.
It was a good start for Holland, but England countered immediately. You could see England attacking in a different way than in the previous games. As a result, Saka moved across the box in the 13th minute and the Dutch defenders didn't dare to break him down. After his shot was blocked, HarryKane tried to shoot straight away.Dumfries was eager to put his foot out to block it. As a result, Dumfries stepped on HarryKane although HarryKane finished the shot. The referee saw the VAR and decided to award a 12-yard penalty which HarryKane scored.
In a game that was tied 1-1, the teams continued to play.In the 22nd minute, Mainoo raced into the box and flicked the ball forward directly to Foden. As Foden raced close to the end line and faced the goalkeeper's block, he surprised him by firing a shot through his hips.Foden was able to get a good look at Foden, but he was able to get a good look at Foden, and he was able to get a good look at Foden. The shot would have gone in, but Dumfries came back and stepped on the goal line in order to block it. As a result, Dumfries swooped in to create a 12-yard turnover and save his team at the goal line.
As the game progressed into the first half it became clear that England were playing in a different way to previous games.Foden had been pushed forward and HarryKane was in the box at times but a lot of the time he had withdrawn from the box to help with crosses, especially as England allowed Saka, who was in the right back position, to come up and play straight into his original right winger position.Saka came into the box and instead of trying to pass as he had done in previous game and instead of trying to pass the ball, he just started moving straight across the pitch from around 17 yards.
Bellingham's position is a bit unusual. He doesn't attack the midfield nor is he in the forward line. He's on the left and tends to simply pass the ball to help his teammates advance, whereas Mainoo is completely liberated. He comes up and never goes back. He kept trying to push it to the 18-yard line in the box and pass it out. This meant England had Rice and Bellingham supporting on the left side of midfield, then had the right back, the right fullback, and the right striker.
Looking at the overall position, England deliberately added numbers to the Dutch waist when attacking, even with Saka's box moving across the middle. It felt like everything was done to force Holland's two backs so that it couldn't counter and move forward. On the other hand, Bellingham applies pressure on the left side, pushing Dumfries back into the box, thus slowing down the speed and destructive power of the Dutch counter-attack.
