Spain managed to reach the final of this year's Europa League, but major Ewalu Morada has been criticized by outsiders. His wife posted a document on her personal social media platforms in support of her husband and engaged in a spaced out battle with the local media. In the end, Morada also managed to hand out an assist to help his team beat France in the quarterfinals.
Although Spain made it to this year's European finals, captain and striker Ewalu Morada has been the subject of heavy criticism from the local media for his numbing performance. However, Morada had earlier publicly expressed his displeasure, going as far as to say that he might quit the European national team:- "No one respects me in Spain and I have been treated poorly throughout my career." But then the Spanish newspaper El Confidencial immediately responded, criticizing Morada's comments: "Morada is a captain who is an embarrassment to Spain, not only because of his poor performances in the European countries, but also because of his embarrassing comments, which lead outsiders to believe that he has been mistreated or personally persecuted in Spain. It is quite immature and reprehensible for Morada to behave in such a way before the quarterfinals."
Morada's wife, Alice Campello, couldn't help but post on social media platforms in support of her husband ahead of the quarterfinals, going to war with the Spanish media:Â "I think the only thing that's bad about it is that, as a journalist, you're publishing a story like this the day before the quarterfinals. Instead of encouraging a player, you tried to beat him. How do you think a man can do his best for his country when he feels that no one believes in him? I repeat, everyone is free to express themselves, but please don't take offense."
