England have had a lot of problems with the European nations this year, with the left-wicket candidate being one of the main ones. Lauki Suhr has missed three group games due to injury and Jebbia is also a doubt due to a calf injury. It has been pointed out that Bukayosaka's cameo at left-goalkeeper is one of the 'ways out', however, the Arsenal star has been the first to voice his opposition.

Bukayosaka has played all three of his matches on the right wing but 'died in flames' with England's attacking line, having been put in to play at left goal by leader Emery at the start of his Arsenal debut until Adidah came in to help position him in the right wing position. Prominent England players Ian Hooley and Gary Nievey have suggested that a fresh start with Bukayosaka could solve England's left-footer problem, as well as freeing up the right flank for Galpin to come in immediately.

In a recent interview, Bukajorska responded, "I like Ian Hurley very much and have always been very supportive of me, but I don't think that asking me to play in the left side of the goal, which I'm not very good at, is the way to solve the problem. Of course we can talk about it, and Shoufki made the final decision, and I have to trust Shoufki's decision."
