In the early hours of last Wednesday morning (26th), France played Poland and the Netherlands played Austria in the final round of Group D in Europe. French ace shooter Kilian McBarbie recovered very quickly from his first nose injury. He took to the field today wearing a mask and led the way with a 12-yard shot. Skorubisky replaces Szczesny, and captain Robert Livundowski is choosing the capo for the first game of this year's tournament.

France were the first to attack, with both Dio Boot Nandis and Oswendy Billy having chances to get on the wave. However, Poland also had chances to counter Skorubisky's ten fingers. Robert Lewandowski attacked with an empty header, but after an interception by the French keeper, Kilian McBarbie made a close-range effort just before half-time which was blocked by Skorubisky in time for an unrecorded half.

The Netherlands also finished third after losing the wave.
