Argentina, the last place winners of Group A of the U.S. Nations Cup, played savior in the Nadalu Martinez team's reserve game on Wednesday morning (26), scoring the only goal in the 88th minute to beat Chile 1-0, winning 2-2 and securing the last eight spots early.
Argentina defeated Canada 2-0 in the first game. The game continued with Mace and Zulian Ivaris. However, both teams spent much of the first half in a melee. Mays was kicked by an opponent in the 24th minute and needed treatment. Fortunately, there was nothing serious and they were able to continue the game.
Argentina's offense then began to get into the meat of the game, with Nikolaos Dryshalis and Zulian Ivaris making baskets, and Mez making further baskets.
After the change of sides, Argentina still had the upper hand, but unfortunately, the goal system, including a powerful shot by Nicolas Gonzalez, missed the target. After the 73rd minute, Di Maria and Nadal Martinez stepped up their offense. As expected, they got the result immediately. A corner kick was taken by Mez, causing a melee in front of the goal. Finally, Nadalu Martinez shot on goal. The Inter Milan striker was in quite a brave form as he scored for the second game in a row.
In the other match in the same group, Canada beat Peru 1-0 to move into second place with three points, while Chile and Peru have only one point, so Argentina secured its place in the early rounds.
