The latest report from Spanish media outlet Relevo reveals a complex situation in the transfer market for Valencia goalkeeper Mamardashvili. Although a team from Saudi Arabia has made an offer of up to 30-35 million euros, this still fails to meet the Valencia club's psychological price of 40 million euros, leaving the transfer negotiations at a standstill.

The 23-year-old Georgian international goalkeeper's impressive performances in the Euro 2024 qualifiers have undoubtedly won him the favor of many giants. However, it seems that Mamardashvili himself is in no hurry to leave Valencia, as he made it clear in a recent interview that while he would like to stay with the team, his future is still full of uncertainty.

Faced with a high offer from a Saudi team, Mamardashvili chose to put it on hold for now as he is more excited about receiving an offer from a top team. In his opinion, joining a more competitive club will help him make a bigger breakthrough in his career. At the same time, he is aware of his value and status at Valencia, where he has a deep affection for the team due to the trust of manager Baraja and the support of the fans.

Mamardashvili had also rejected offers from two mid-table Premier League sides. This decision is further proof of his cautious approach towards future transfers and his loyalty to Valencia. However, the Valencia club's conservative approach to selling has also come as a surprise. Especially after giants such as Chelsea showed interest in Mamardashvili, Valencia's high asking price eventually led Chelsea to turn to Villarreal's Joensen. And other potential buyers such as Newcastle United opted out due to the price tag.
