Manchester United Football Club is actively strengthening its defense during the summer transfer window, and according to the latest news from Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devils are planning to bring in two important players at the same time in the next few days - De Ligt and Mazlavi - to further enhance the team's defensive capabilities.

Both De Ligt and Mazlavi were starters for current United manager Jens Ten Hagar during his time at Ajax, and as such they have been key targets for United to strengthen this summer. Mazraoui, in particular, has reportedly reached a personal agreement with United and it seems only a matter of time before he officially signs. The Moroccan defender has made a name for himself in the soccer world with his excellent speed and defensive ability, and his signing will inject new life into United's backline.

However, transfer negotiations for de Ligt were more complicated and tricky. Although Ten Hag has been pushing the club to sign the Dutch center-back, the deal process has been intermittent and failed to be concluded quickly. However, an injury to new signing Jolo during United's warm-up match against Arsenal became a turning point in the transfer. Yoro's injury made United realize the urgency of the center back position, and they urgently needed to bring in a higher quality strong reinforcement to fill the gap. As a result, the club had to reconsider and accelerate the process of bringing in de Ligt.

In order to free up positions and raise funds, Manchester United are also actively looking to sell some of the players in their squad. Wan Bissaka and Lindelof, two players whose contracts are about to expire, have become the key targets for sale. Their departure would not only bring United a substantial transfer fee, but also reduce the salary burden and squad bloat. This is a good thing for United to kill two birds with one stone.
