After Liverpool's friendly match against Betis last weekend, which the Reds won 1-0, Liverpool midfielder Junior Elliott spoke to the media and talked about his thoughts on the new tactical style brought in by the team's new manager Jürgen Klopp's assistant coach Jacob Sloter.

Elliott began by noting that the team's style of play has changed significantly from the past, with more emphasis on possession and specific patterns of play. He said, "The team's style of play is very different from what it was before, we're much more possession oriented now and the players are very excited about that. We have our own way of playing and the lads are very eager to try and use this new tactic in games."

Elliott spoke highly of the team's new style, which he described as a very elegant and typically Dutch style of play. "This style is very elegant and full of the essence of Dutch soccer, and it's really, really good." He said, "Of course, this is just the beginning and we need to keep developing and training on this as it is a completely new style of play for us. We're all looking forward to seeing what this new style will bring us."

Elliott appeared confident when asked how long it would take for the team to fully adapt to this new tactic. "I think we will adapt quickly." He said, "From the last game, we've shown some positive changes, and there were times when the game went very smooth and exciting. Of course, it's only pre-season and we need more time to gel and adapt."

He further said, "It's just the first few games and it will take us a while to get used to the new tactical system. But as I said, we just need to keep believing in what the coaching team is teaching us, work hard according to their instructions and make sure we keep improving. And don't get discouraged if sometimes things don't go the way we expect. This is something new and it will take time for us to familiarize and adapt. But as long as we keep trusting and working hard, I'm sure we'll be able to succeed."
